THE TOTAL MAN
THE TOTAL MAN
There are still many searching for their origin. Some say
their great grandparents, were apes which make them Apes, because reproduction
is by type. Ape begets Apes.
BUT WHO ARE YOU?
Most of us take our existence for granted
We accept our circumstances without curiosity about who
we are; where we have been; what we are doing now; and where we are going (what
happens when we die).
Life equation has at least two known parameters, these
are birth and death. Between Birth and death is a black box (Unknown) with some
certainties like STORM.
Examine your life Gal 6:1b .Most of persons know more about
our jobs, profession, football, politics, than they know about themselves.
Who are you? As a Christian I can answer emphatically
that” I am a child of God”. (John 1:12)
You are a unique individual with tremendous potentials. God
made you for a purpose Jeremiah 1:5
You are very precious to God, hence He sent his only son
to die for you.-John 3:16 .Therefore Matt 6:33 gives us a life advise, ”seek first
the kingdom of God and His righteousness
and these other things shall be added unto you.”. Focus on Jesus and not
the circumstances. If you focus on the on the circumstances of the present and lose
sight of the finished product God is making of you, your growth can be delayed
and your effectiveness thwarted.
There are SEVEN ingredients that make you who you are. They
include your physical health, Mental, Spiritual; Family; financial; social and
Career .These constitute the wheel of life. Most lives are out of round;
because we are not equally developed in all areas of life. Take a close look at
the wheel below. Each ingredient that makes you you is shown as a spoke in the
wagon of life wheel. Each spoke is graded 1 to 10. 1 represents poor while 10
represents excellent. (copied from the FGBMFI Super ALTS II)
How would you rate yourself in each aspect of life? Be
sincere about it.
Score yourself on the wheel shown below

THE WHEEL
OF LIFE
Join all your score points. The new shape is certainly not
very round. Some of the bumps in life are because of this out of round life. You
might need wheel balancing.
There is therefore need to focus on areas of need and
make amendments. Some changes can even be painful and difficult, but it is
worth it.
It is possible to make these changes especially with the
help of the Holy Spirit. If you determine, you can because you can do all
things through Christ which strengthens you. All things work for good to them who love God (Romans 8:28); and
remember that with God nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1; 37). Determine to
make amendments to your ways.
GOD’s PERFECT WILL FOR OUR LIVES Is that:
o We
grow spiritually
o We
prosper
o We
are healthy
o As
our soul prospers
o We
have a well-balanced life (3 John 2)
Dream a little about who you want to be. We shall in the
next series look closer at the different spokes of the wheel of life.
